Our buddy Javy had a little tumor on his muzzle removed yesterday. We are waiting to learn the results of the biopsy. He is wearing a cone around his head...the vets call it the 'collar of shame' or the 'Elizabethan collar' officially. This is so he doesn't paw at his stitches. Part of the right side of his lip, just next to the nose, had to be removed with the tumor. Dr. Bo did a good job sewing it up but warned us that his lip might be a bit drawn up on that side and heal that way. It kind of looks like he has a half snarl going on. He is sleepy and moving a bit slower, but when we take the cone off in our presence he still has his big personality! You can see in the pic that he was not deterred from trying to see if he could steal our muffins this morning. Please send little healing prayers his way.
