Connected

One thing our new church learned early on from Nate is that he is always talking about connection. Spirituality as connection to ourselves, one another, the earth, the Sacred...
I share his sense...but when I think of connection this evening, it is because that tonight, after making our home in Greeley for over two months, I am celebrating that we finally have internet at home!
We are renting a beautiful old home, made around 1915 and moved into town from the countryside in 1950. We are enjoying our nest. We will enjoy it even more when it warms up and we can make good use of our front porch. Javy has lots of room to run around (and crash into the walls because of the slippery wood floors!) When we first arrived around Thanksgiving, we futily tried with the help of a new friend, to install internet capabilities. At first I appreciated the opportunity to be technologically dis-connected at home, but it also really slowed us down from setting up home and feeling settled. It rather surprised me how much I felt the need to connect through posting our musings and I am so thankful for the internet as such a handy tool to do just that.
So, tonight I celebrate the wonders of emails and google searches and the spirit of connection! Through this blog we hope to share with you a bit of our lives now and then. We are eager to stay connected to you all who we know and love and have shared so much. Moving to a new place and having to work hard at building community has reminded us of the many people from different parts of our lives, who we miss, who are very dear.
That is you!
peace, love and connection-
Jenn, Nate & Javy
